Hi all!
As you can gather, We are bnew to the camping game. What is a standard pitch size & do most sites specify sizes?
There is no universal standard size but as the caravan club specify 11 metres, many sites set their hardstandings & electric hook up points at around that distance.
And that caravan club and most other 'club' sites demand a 6 metre gap between units (they claim this is for 'fire safety') so you only get 5m of that.
On some commercial sites - esp if you don't have hookup - they'll pack you in as close as they can. Sometimes with guy ropes overlapping.
