Hi all.....

Just back from the British Moto GP at Donnington Park.... where the tent and equipment got a good work out by the elements.

1st the tent (Coleman Columbia) stood up to all that was thrown at it with no problems what so ever. The only real bad points that I could give it were the bedrooms or at least the one me and the missus was in seemed at little baggy but nothing to write home about. Also the guy ropes could do with being a little more visable ie. NOT BLACK. Every body and his dog must have got a foot fast on mine day and night.

2nd bought one or two items from aldi and found that they too stood up well. The pop up gazebo was a god send. Went up in 5 mins no problem. The only thing that went wrong with that was one of the velcro tabs that hold  the side panels to the legs came off due to the wind. The kitchen stand  worked well although its abit of a finger trapper to put together and the stove (that is made by Sunn Gas) was fine although the grill is really only big enough for one slice of toast at a time. Also bought one of the remote control lamps and hung it in the middle of the tent. It didn't give a tremendous amount of light but was adequate. Being remote control was very usefull though...climb in bed and switch off...NICE !

3rd also got a Gelert Adjustable Square Table L60 x W80 x H57.5/87 cm. With being on dead uneven ground this table was the dogs danglers. The couple that we went with took one of them all in one table and four seat things, which got binned in the end and they are now buying the Gelert.

Just thought some one may find these findings usefull...

Thanks for your review Spender  I like the sound of the Gelert table - ours has fixed legs, so we always have to take small blocks of wood with us for levelling.

Thanks for the review on the table, can I ask where you got it from and, if it's not too cheeky, how much? It sounds like just what I'm looking for.

I took my Aldi kitchen back as it bit me when I tried it out.

Hi Debbie

If you go on ebay and type in Gelert Adjustable Square Table, you should then be taken to the WildDay shop. I have just checked it out and there is 1 still available £31.99 + £4.95 p&p. Don't think you would be disappointed with this table at all, it is really solid and stable.

Cheers spender.....
