Hi i'm going to buy a gas bottle for camping and i've been checking out B.p Light bottle! I need to know how long 5kg of gas would last on average?

If you are camping, running a 2 burner stove with grill . I would say at least 3 weeks

I use the 6kg in the van, and they run for ages, at least 2 cooked meals a day, and boosting the water heater for when she wants a shower.

I take it weight and space isnt an issue?

You can get campingaz stoves with the 907 bottles which will do a fortnights cooking easy

make sure you can get refills.
Calor and campingaz can be found almost everywhere....BP is quite rare. Homebase have the steel bottles, but not the gas light

Dont get one that will be hard to get a refill for ,if you arent bothered about space and weight calor gas is the most popular to replace

We recently saved £30 (deposit for Gas bottle) - Take a trip to your local tip / recycle centre - Ask the lads nicely - All types & weights of disgarded gas bottles avaliable - We picked up a 7.5kg Calor Butane

Hope this isn't "Old" info or "Teaching Grannie how to Suck Eggs"
