I am considering buying a trailer to hump my considerable amount of gear around the country lol....

Can anyone give me a few pointers on what to go for and look for. I think I know what I want (a box trailer) but would like a little info please....

Hi Spender.
Two points.A lot of modern trailers do not have replaceable
Wheel bearings and If you can afford it buy one with an 'A' bar not a strait bar.

A longer narrower one is better than a 'squarer' one. Its far easier to reverse longer ones! Also, dont get one thats too small. You would think thats an obvious statement, but some trailers are next to useless! Think about a solid lid as well.

Try Daxara 158 with side extensions and hardtop - its just perfect for all our gear! Could be some on e-bay.

Agree with John+Caz here, we have the same rig. Could go for the trailer only to start with and then as you get more kit get the extenders and Lid. Great trailer and all parts are easily obtainable.

Choose the size of the trailer that you want and then buy the next one up. You will be suprised at how quickly you fill it up !

I couldn't decide which trailer to buy, and when I looked at the prices of the size I thought I'd need it nearly sent me into shock.

So I bought an old caravan for £50, and with a bit of work and some help from a mate, turned it into a customized trailer!

A bit extreme I know, but if you are handy with an angle grinder and know your way around a welder, it's a fun project!

7 feet x 4 feet, with roof bars added to carry my roof box. I can fit the kitchen sink in, but I am refusing to take it!
