We use beach/surf shoes and keep them on in showers. Aldi was selling these this week very cheap.

Well, captive market I guess. Remember fleece jackets, and some sleeping bag liners are recycled plastic bottles as well, I'm sure you're not arguing that they are rubbish too...

Hi

We all wear flip flops to and in the showers.  My Wife is very particular when it comes to the toilet/shower blocks.  We are in the camping Club and she very often reads the percentages of the cleansiness of the toilets and  so far they have all been around 97-98% but you can always guarantee she will come back saying that she has found a hair in the sink or toothpaste run which really bugs her so now she takes a J cloth with her to wash out the sink before use. We have been to two club sites that have provided these J cloths for the sinks which is a great help and a nice thought.

I must admit that is one of the reasons why we like the camping club sites because they will always have buckets and mops for the showers to be cleaned out before and after you have gone in.

Yes, but how clean are the mops and the buckets themselves. Not very clean in bacteria terms I guarantee it. But nice thought, same for the J cloth, best take your own, you dont where it had been used previously.

just what i was thinking. A mop in a shower would put me right off!

i would want to know where a used j cloth had been too.

bring back (recycled) paper towels!

i usually use flip flops, but have never thougt of wearing them in the shower. Might do know tha as bit worried so many others do!!

The other thing i do if it is rainging and i go to the loo is take my shoes of at the entrance and go to the toilets.

We have been to sights tha have mops and use them when can. i must admit i do whish sites would use showers with detachable heads. i have medium lengt thick hair and lots like to come out when showering and with shower heads stuck on the walls it isn;t always easy to clean it up. Last time we went away i was using my hands to clear it up, but might use the j cloth idea now.

Never even occured to me what shoes to wear to the shower

Mind you on the campsite we were on last year, don't think it occured to anyone else either!

I knew there was a good reason for investing in crocs and flip flops this year now I know.

The other option is Utility tent and shower many options available. I have been using own set up now for a few years and no issues with times, queues, cost, heat, verrucas, hair yours or others cleaning or social etiquette.  Also gives you the chance to go to rallies, meets, cl / cs sites.  May be worth thinking about.

Please dont take your shoes off when entering toilets, the bacteria that you are picking up on your socks or feet is frightening and you are infecting your shoes then your tent/camper etc. It really is very unhealthy for you.

Hi Oldham

We have a toilet tent with a porta potti that we do use when we are at meets. What shower system do you have, i have bought this shower bag but not sure if its going to be any good. A good old fashioned strip wash is as good but my wife likes to wash her hair daily, so im trying to find ways for that, me dont worry bald as a cute best way when your camping haha.

Colin
