In your position, with an 18 month old, I would probably go for a smaller site with basic facilities. Now ours are 6 & 9 we do tend to go to sites with pool etc although they are noisier but ours slept through a car alarm going off for 20 minutes at half term! Our 2 favourite sites are Trevornick at Holywell Bay near Newquay because it's within walking distance of 3 great beaches, plus it has a golf course for DH (and the girls). We also go to Kiln Park at Tenby but that's mainly because we can use Tesco vouchers to pay for it! The kids love the evening entertainment, we hate it and take them up there a few times but not every night. We also love Tenby as a holiday destination.
A little tip for bed time, there is usually a lull in noise around 8.30 - 9.30pm - people have had their BBQ and haven't got too merry yet. That's the time to get the kids to bed. Once they are asleep, nothing will bother them, not even seagulss, crows and full daylight at 5am!!! Happy holiday!!!
