We've got a 360 ltr Fapa box, when I bought was worried might be too big, but now on car could easily have fitted 450 ltr box. As for how much stuff you can fit in we get 2 dbl matresses, picnic rug,large suitcase, 4 sleeping bags, 30" flourescentl lamp, and a few towels on top of case.

We have the same box, we get a double buggy pushchair in it and all our shoes and soft items. Its meant we have been able to get away with not changing the car with the adition of 2 kids over the past couple of years.

2 Kids=No new Car 1 larger house and no new tent.

MAx on most cars is 75kg including the bars and box. time to get the bathroom scales out!
As genie04 says get a rachet tie for the box as well. If the box springs open on the road you can and in most cases will be charged for having an unsecured load not to mention losing all your gear. When we used ours we used a tie front to back and one across the way, bit OTT but it kept my mind at rest. Bunging the longer stuff onto the roofbars at either side is a good idea too, you could also have these inside the rachets ties as well. Once its all loaded and tied down you should be able to shake the box and the car will move with it.

Bought mine recently from Italy, a FARAD 480L and tried it for size on my Wife's Zafira at the weekend. We haven't trial loaded it yet though, saving that for our first trip away next weekend.

It looks good considering how large the capacity is, without looking enormous.

Mind you it'd look pretty silly on my IS200, be like driving underneath a Zeppelin!
