Anyone know if you can get poles for the porch to make it higher than standard.

Hubby is 6'6 so standard poles, he has to duck.

Thanks

Lou

Don't like to see the sad face when no replies are in. I wish I could be of better assistance, but have you thought about calling the manufacturer? Perhaps they could help.

My local camping supplier provided a set as I am 6ft 3 in shoes its ideal still have to duck a bit as I go into the tent but much better  we found it easier to get a new set instead of extending the existing. We love our royal tent did not kdow what to get but please with the choice have you camped in yours yet???? We had a slight leak on the back door zip!!

Tonight is 1st night of pitching - just downloaded instructions of the web as ours are in botom of bag and wanted to get an idea of what we need to do.  Instructions look different though.  Do you have the Pin and Peg system on yours.

Cheers

Lou

Loublou

Yes we do. We had never put up a tent before this one and did it in about 1 1/2 hoursput the two main poles in first then have someone go inside the tent to raise up the middle this makes it easier to fit the pins into the poles.you saw my previous post on my tent leaks. the replacement flysheet leaks in the same place when we checked the inside stiching/seams all have a plastic film except the one over the zip on the back door we are going to use seam sealer on this might be worth you while checking yours and doing the same

we had a trial run with our new biarritz and it took us an hour and a half to put it up. we have also been told to use seam sealer on the back zip but are pleased with the rest of the tent. when putting it up it helps to peg the sig first to hold it all still and then when all the poels are in you can re-position and peg it where you want it. definitley get the instructions off the website cos they are miles better than the ones that come with the tent

Even if you get new poles your husband will still have to duck at the doorway as I do and I am only 6ft 1.5in.

Wish I'd spotted this thread last week! We have the Biarritz 6 tent and the instructions are dire! Took us ages to put it up. Just spotted the more informative instructions on the website!

Nevermind, I'll print them off for next time!!

We have the Royal Biarritz 6 and have just had our first holiday in it.  It was absolutely brilliant.  Great bedroom and living room space and loved having the porch.

We practiced putting the tent up before we went away and I think it probably took about an hour without instructions.  Thought it was quite straight forward to put up and we're no experts.

My brother is 6foot3 and he had plenty of head room in the living room but did duck a little in the porch.

Again, when we went away and put the tent up then we didn't have any problems doing it - although it didn't fit on the first pitch we were given so had to move!!!  Also, it's the first tent we've had that we can actually pack away properly and fit it in the bag!!!

I think where we went wrong was with the ring and pin system. Didn't do it right at all!! We know for next time though, so should be ok then and shouldn't take as long!!!
