Sent my tent back to the suppliers because of leaks, that was last Thursday how long do you think it should take to hear from them regarding the report. Not heard anything even e mail to say they received it.
Get on the phone and call them hassle them untill they are blue in the face. Did you send it back by recorded delivery ??? If so you should be able to find out if they have accepted delivery of it back them.
No they were actually very good and picked it up by city link next day after phoning them but no contact since. OH has just called them they say because they have had a recall on the vango killington there has been a lot of returns and thats why its taking soo long, but surely if its recalls they would just go straight to manufacturer. Ours is a vango oregon, which was leaking at quite a few places do we accept a repair or insist on a new one?
Unfortunately, if they are busy, it may be the person who keeps on calling again and again who gets sorted out first.
I wouldn't consider succesfull contact once a week to be over the top though, unless they advised it would be longer than this. And if you are an urgent case, stay on top of them!

i would insist on a brand new tent that does'nt leak, as that is what you paid for in the first place!
Well I am still waiting to hear about my tent sent back 5th july, have called 3 times keep getting told from the girl in the office she will contact returns and get back to me never had a call returned. Also sent an email which I have had no reply to, am I being impatient, its just that when you buy a new tent I think its only right I can expect to get away camping with it so far we have missed 2 weekends and looks like we are going to miss another one.
The Killington recall should not be an excuse for you not have recieved a report/update or even a replacement tent. The killingtons are being sent back to manufacturers as they are faulty you just need a replacement and you should have had one ages ago and you should stress that you have not been able to go away due to the fact that they still have your tent. Tell them that you will be reporting them to the Trading Standards if you do not get a replacement or your tent repaired by the end of the week. I think you are being very patient - I would have lost the plot by now!!
Good Luck!

Quote some of this to them and they might start to pick up their feet! Hope you get it sorted soon. We might be in for some nice weather towards the end of this month
Well just a wee update decided to keep calling them until i finally got an answer ,my returned tent was amongst a whole load of returns but they located it and very quickly sent us a replacement. So on the whole it took 2 weeks but I am very happy with the outcome, they didnt have the original tent in stock so they have replaced it with another that we liked also added the footprint.
So just waiting for a nice day to get it out the back give it a good soak and see how it goes its a Khyam Ontario 800 if anyone has one, would love some feedback.
we had to return a vango aspen last year - it too took about two weeks, that is because they have to return the tent to vango for examiniation, once inspected vango give the dealer a credit to replace your tent..
