Radios are much worse than teles
Agreed, I was on a site last year where an elderly couple dined outside their caravan with a radio or cd blaring for that entire area of the site to hear. At least with a television they would have been within sight of it, so they wouldn't have needed it turned up as loud.
If your bothered by TV's then you are going to the wrong sites!
We tend to camp at more rural sites that are mainly used as a base for walkers and those sites do not seem to apeal to the people who take TV's with them !
If you camp at sites with EHU ,shops, clubhouse ,massive shower block ,your general ' holiday camp ' style campsites then you will get bother with television noise !
We dont take a tv, our friends always did, but to be honest if we did take one I doubt I would have the time to watch it! But if LOST was on whilst I was away, then I'd pay someone to let me in there caravan to watch it
We will have our own rule of TV off after 10pm I think on holiday. There won't be anything the children want to watch after about 7pm anyway but if we do have a dvd to watch it will be off before 10pm.
I havn't been in an EHU pitch before but I am sure I could be surrounded by TV watchers. I think however that these things do seem louder at night (no background noise).
It will be interesting to see if it is radios or TV's keeping me awake this year

I prefer the sites that just have a tap & toilet, unfortunately I'm outvoted 3 to 1 & the ehu is handy for the fridge - But I'm still the biggest & I say they aint taking a telly.
