Our sunncamp  tent was secured with two of these last new year... broke both!!! Mind you, it was gale force winds so not surprising. We found that the main problem with the wind is that it slackens your guys, so I'd advise you to invest in delta pegs for one thing. The other thing is that even with two tie downs, your poles can still break. Of course, another factor is the height and pitching of your tent in the wind, however you cannot alway know which direction it's going to come from...

Ayup Jonsey. there used to be summat like a big corkscrew tent peg. I have no idea if you can still get them, but if you can, they're top notch ! think they were for pets if I remember right.

What do you think would happen if the wind picked up when away camping I have camped in the rain with no problems but with the weather we have been having recently would it make much of an impact on the tent, if so do you think I could use these just to help keep the tent from going anywhere, I know there designed for awnings but was thinking of getting 2 just to lay over the pole section where the main living area is on my tent and give it enough tension that I dont snap/or put to much pressure on the poles.
