should have tucked it under the SIG. But even now I can never get it flat all round, there is allways a gap. Okay, the ground level varies and I have tried different tension on the straps, but I still often sit with a drink looking at an odd gap or two and fretting. What's the solution please?
Hi cube
More drink
Sorry about that but the cosmetic's should not be a problem with your SIG or am I missing something.

Delta pegs a must!!!
Thanks, as ever, sapper696, and sadsetts and John Byrne and everybody else who recommends our pegs.
It gives me great satisfaction to hear that these pegs are doing what they were designed to do (most of the time).

Delta Ground Anchors..the strongest, most secure tent pegs in the world! Nylon anchors twice as efficient as rock pegs in 'average' soil! Quality stainless pegs for tougher soil are available.
Just got back from five lovely days at West Wittering, W Sussex (fantastic beach!!). Had to take our smaller 4 man tent since, as mentioned at the start of this thread, the biggie Arizonia had been damaged the week before in the gales. The shop at Wicks Farm sells loads of camping gear so bought ourselves a repair kit which has a set of ferrels, repair tape, cord etc. Bought a handful of long rock pegs (as they were only 51p each) - but will get some Deltas - honest), some spare guys and some holdons. Our small Outbound tent has mudflaps all around which can't be pushed under, so had to be spread outwards and pegged down. Used the holdons on the front mudflaps on the tent as there was a big gap where I was worried the wind might get in. These holdons are great - they make instant eyelets without having to make holes in your tent. Because of our experience in Romney we pegged our smaller tent down so well it took us 2 hours to unpeg it when it was time to leave. Unfortunately the downside of a smaller tent is that things get broken inside the tent as there's less room to move around. Casulties this trip included my folding camp bed and the toaster!
