Just got back from a weeks camping trip in south somerset,,...have to say I've almost been put off. ...!! ( and a whisker away from advertising a Hartford XL - with brand new inner I might add ! ( no mud ! )...and...( courtesy of supplier....wonky zips... but which we've never actually used )....aswell as loads of accessories ! ).....the rain was relentless...the mud got everywhere...and I mean everywhere !.....practically every trip outside the tent had to be done in wellies...that's if you could keep them on as the thick mud tried to suck them off your feet ! ....it was wet, dank and foggy for 90 % of the time.....even the dog was depressed !!....
anyone else been camping this last week?....and has it put you off/!?!...I'm really, really hoping we can actually get to have a few days of decent camping weather at some point ( this year would be nice ! )..since we bought the tent ( 4 years ago ) every time we've even whispered the word ' tent '....it's rained !...I'm sure it's jinxed !
We were in Somerset too. Near Chard. Mud.
We kept ourselves entertained witht he following:
- Stick-in-the-mud
- Mud-Cakes
- Mud bombs
- Mud slinging
- Mud biking
- Swimming in the mud
- skidding in the mud
- mud fights
Next year, we are going to Spain.
