Which bit of this, if any do you put the camping stove on: -

  • Steel frame with clip on aluminium slat work top and shelf, additional fold outlaminated table with telescopic legs and suspended fabric larder with 2 removable shelves.
  • Overall size (H)79, (W)119, (D)46.
  • I think it's the slatted area, am I right!!??

I would say the slatted area especially with it being a little higher

I have that one. I put the stove on the higher level, stuff for cooking on the lower one. The shelves in the larder are very flimsy, I replaced mine after one outing as they dipped in the middle and my tidily arranged stuff ended up in a big heap. I have MDF now, works fine.

Folding Camping Kitchen with DOUBLE Larder (CKWDL)

'Westfield' Folding Camping Kitchen with Double Larder

I use one of these, but I use it with 2x campingchef double burner stoves with grill. One on each side table (I have cobbled windshields together for each side. Then on the top level I have a large chopping board for food preparation then on the lower middle shelf I have a mini oven.

All I need is the kitchen sink, then i'd have a fully fitted kitchen in our utility tent. I know it's a lot of gear but with sometimes 7 of us then it's much easier.

Is that the one in Argos?

If so, be careful - they have the same product on their website twice at different prices ( I think - I can't see any difference) so make sure you choose the right one !!

I bought this on e-bay and used it last weekend and it was brilliant.  I would agree with Charlies Mummy about the bendy shelves.  Definitely need something stronger for next time.

    Thanks All,

All tips taken on board and once we've done this trip we'll swap the shelves out for some MDF, we haven't got time right now with Hub's working up until Saturday when we go.  As well as the kitchen unit we also have 2 fold up tables so we should have plenty of surface area to prepare food.

We had the unit at the lower reduced price from 39.99 to 24.99 I hadn't noticed it was on there twice, really bad of argos for doing that.

Replaced our shelves here with Marine 3 ply with three coats of varnish. Did the trick just like the MDF. Standard one as mentioned very bendy
