Just got back from our first family camping trip at studfold farm in yorkshire and i'm happy to say everyone loved it the weather held out for us and we now know what kit we actually need... ROOF BOX being top of the list
one little tip is buy a good condition used roofbox, then you got more to spend on other gear or even roof bars...people get sick and sell em dirt cheap if you look around.
We are still quite novice and after our first weekend we came back with a huge shopping list - I think we learn a lot from the people around us when we are camping.
1 weekend and a 9 night hol last year and I am hoooooked!!!!
It's great when you're retired , you wait for a good weather forcast for the next few days, then off you go. When you get back ,you dry out all your gear re pack the trailer and wait for the next good forcast.
