We camp with our 2 year old and find it difficult for him to sit on a camp chair and eat since he can't really reach the table properly and makes a right mess of himself (he REALLY loves food)! So when we went to Yeomans tent display they had a wonderful little table (link at bottom) that was perfect for him. We have tested it at home and once the legs are propped open, it's sturdy and secure. It's also a good size surface for writing and coloring. I've actually been thinking about getting another for our older son as the 2 of them are very close and like to draw together, although not always my oldest's choice.
I didn't see it on the Yeomans site, but they may have it in store and it's only 9.99 there. Low Folding Table
That does look good. We have a few of those stick tables that are variable height and with a central spike they can fit their legs around, they also have a non-slip top which is Very Useful for kids on the go ! This table looks better though for letting them sit together like grownups.
Another item on the list !

As a post above we got a smaller table from callow top onsite shop, with telescopic legs so u can adjust them, ideal for little uns. They are available in many camping shops.
Cute table and a good price, can't go wrong. But it does seem a bit awkward to sit at. My 2 year old would still make a mess with that one as he needs a table right under him. I might have to check it out though. Thanks.
