Hi all,

I wonder if anyone can help me.

We recently bought a Sunncamp Evolution 600, which i must say is fantastic.  We had one slight problem, when taking the tent down and after removing the poles it stayed up like a hot air balloon!!  I've always been told to make sure all doors, windows etc are zipped and closed before dismantling a tent, does this not apply to this tent as it has a sewn in groundsheet?

Has anyone else had this problem or can give some advice.

Many thanks in advance.  Tilly x

P.s. I'm away again in it in less than 2 weeks and don't fancy rolling around on it for half an hour again, although it was very funny - especially for the other campers!!!

I've been told the opposite.  Zip up when putting up, zip open when taking down.

hi tilly we took ours away for the first time and ours did exactly the same so we opened one of the doors and it deflated, great tent though, first time with a sewn in ground sheet and it made a huge difference, next time though i think we are going to put a big sheet of plastic down before we put up the tent,

anyway tilly open one of the doors when you put it down it does help,

Many thanks Cheryle, will try with doors unzipped next time. Should have done that last time i suppose but we were having fun rolling around!!!!!

I agree about the sewn in groundsheet, wonder how we managed with the drafts and creepy crawlies before.

Tilly x

Forcing the air out without unzipping a door could weaken the seams. I found this when folding my Combi Camp - the air has to come out somewhere and it bust a seam.

Lovely tent btw.
