 thank you once again for all your replies they have been most helpful, Marmite seems to be the answer (only joking)  We went to Rhyl today and as we were looking in one of thos bargain shops I spoted one of these   it only cost a fiver.

This is not the exact one but similar, I have given it a brief trial tonight and found it to be working well and seems to have reduced the numbers greatly, which is what I wanted. There was an absolute cloud of them last night and earlier on this evening it was the same. On first glance this seems to do what I want it to, I will let you know more when I have used it more..Thanks again

Hi Tigermaid, I am sorry it doesnt seem to work as you can see, I tried a few times and I thought I had finaly got the link to work. I also tried to post a photograph and that didnt work either sorry. It's is like a small lamp with a low consumption violet bulb 3 WATT. It is marketed by SK Imports Bradford BD7 1NH, thats all it says on the box. We plugged it in last night and it seemed to do the job fairly well, I will give more details as I learn how to post pictures and links on the forum sorry about that.

the best thing i have used are clearlite lamps.if you search it on here you will find lots of information and reivews.add 2 of these,a sown in ground sheet,fly paper in the middle of the tent and keeping the tent zipped in the evening and the bedrooms zipped all the time hahaha , and we dont get anything in out tent....they dont stand a chance!

Thank you so much for the info I managed to find a review on this and they look extremely good, could you give me any info on how I can obtain one of these, as you can see I am not very clever at navigating or posting things on this site yet. Thanks again.
