has anyone used one and what do you think of them and how small do they pack

we got 2 to match our diablo 900 this year, mainly to keep the kids next to us on pitch and to use our seaside ones on the beach, we also have a problem with space so found them excellent, very compact and small. we used them for the first time this year on a site in cornwall, on the edge of a  beach, facing the sea. we also got the canopy incase it rained and we wanted to put the cooker outside.

a few nights we had high winds coming straight off the sea and straight into our tent, my husband spent most of the week figuring out the wind direction and moving the 2 wind breaks accordingly and each night we were still standing due to the height of them sending the wind over the tent, whereas a lot of tents and gazebos were collapsing or had taken off, if we had used the lower wind breaks the wind would have filled the canopy and sent rain straight onto our equipment. we want to return to this site so have just ordered a 3rd one (to get the matching colour) so we don't have to move them all the time. this means that with 3 we get to cover all sides so toddlers can't escape and no wind!!!  we won't always use the canopy or all 3 breaks but everything is so compact you can take it and use if necessary.

we got ours from www.outdoorworld.org.uk £24 plus post bit expensive but as i say we were one of the only ones still standing!!  there is a downside though....there are a lot of guy ropes on your pitch with the tent and the windbreaks and there aren't enough ropes with the kit, we've just asked for some more and it's best to use heavy duty pegs we get them from www.camping-online.co.uk for £6 something then they do not go anywhere

we really like them and if you have enough space the guy ropes don't have to be a problem

We have two vango windbreaks, I agree that they are a good height and very stable when you get the positioning of the guy lines right. I found it quite tough to fix the rings over the pole ends but the hubbys brute force worked a treat.We also have the canopy which is fab, giving us lots of extra space.
