I agree, we've got a camping gaz lantern and a rechargeable remote lantern for carting around the tent / pitch.

One doesn't want to trip up whilst drivin' a gas lantern !!!!!!!!!

If you have EHU a Coleman rechargeable is great. We have two, charge them both in the daytime whilst we are out and they are both fully charged then for the evening ahead.

I remember when I was young that when it got dark you got out the torch and that was it. Maybe times have changed too much for me.

we have 2 sets of winnie the pooh led lights on a string that take 3 aa batteries.we hook them all around the inside of the tent and the same batteries have lasted for 3 camping trips and are still going strong.they give off more light than our original 2 coleman large lanterns, take up less room in the car and make the place cosy! + there 1/2 price at the moment in asda......only £7.50.
