Hi everyone,
We've just had our first camping trip and we are now totally hooked and have our next one sorted out already for in a couple of weeks time!
We camped at the Salisbury camping club site by Hudsons Field and had a great time. We went for a long weekend from thur to sun with some experienced camping friends which made life easier for us with the hints & tips etc although everyone on the site was really friendly and willing to lend a hand or helpful word if needed.
We took our daughter who is nearly 3 and she loved it and didn't miss any of her home comforts.
We pitched our Khyam XL Classic for the first time which was quite straightforward (we hadn't had time for a dummy run as only delivered the day before we went!) and we think its a great tent.
I will write a review on the site at some point but must say that we found everything 1st class and would highly recommend.
We are off to Devon next, Cloud Farm nr Lynton and can't wait to pack the car again!
Best wishes from very happy new campers.
Tony & Chazy
glad to hear you enjoyed it , i am new to this so new in fact i havnt even got my tent yet but am looking to start next year . so its a long hard look at whats around and what i need . hope to read more of your adventures
I'm sure you'll enjoy it when you start. We still need to get lots more equipment etc and the help and advice on this site is fantastic so just ask away and the answers will come!
We think its the best move we have made, so many places to choose from to camp and even making life easier to go abroad. We wouldn't fancy taking our daughter on a plane but through the tunnel or on a ferry would be no problem with our car and gear.
Yes we can't wait to go again now, in a week or two hopefully
The Khyam is fantastic, we had to pitch in the garden when we got home as we had a shower when we packed away and it got wet but only took a few mins to get it up, not pegged but it only needed 15 mins in the sun to dry out. Packed away again very easily
Best wishes all,
Tony & Chazy

Hi Fozzy Bear and thanks for the welcome!
Yes it really was a great few days. Our little 'un didn't miss any of her home comforts which was a bonus and she can't wait to go again, like us!
We've even been looking at the year round sites, bbrrrr! it is certainly addictive!
Best wishes,
Tony & Chazy
