Have been lurking over the posts the last couple of weeks and got some great tips and found the reviews very helpful.  This will be our first camping trip with our two boys (3 and 17months)  We are booked in at Stowford Country Holidays (farm meadows) for 1week in Sept for the bargain price of £39.90.  Chose it because of the great reviews and hope the on-site facilities will keep our little ones entertained.  Just need to buy all the camping gear now!!!  Feeling a bit apprehensive about it (do toddlers and camping mix), hubby chilled out about it though.  Will add a review to the already extensive list on our return.

Any advise, hints, tips on camping with toddlers will be greatly received.

Many thanks

We went for our first trip a few weekends back with our son, he is three so slightly above toddler age, but he absolutely loves it. The main reason for us choosing camping holidays rather than normal hotel style ones was for the bennefit of our son. I just don't think toddlers / young children get enough excitement out of hotels etc. When you go camping, you get your own little area if you want it, plus all the grass a young child could ever need. I can garuntee that your boys will love it.

Dont know what your site has to offer ... but generally being in the great outdoors and spending quality time with him, instead of trying to juggle housework, shopping and playtime with him ... he will love it!!! Just take a few of his small favourite toys encase of wet weather ..... but as others have said relax and you will all have a great time!!!

Thanks for all your replies and words of encouragement.  I am looking forward to it in way.  I will take heed, relax, chill and enjoy14

Yes we have bought our tent - thankfully.  A Gelert Lokon Vario 6.  And the site we are going to has an indoor pool, bar, take away, adventure play park (which I am hoping will be ok for my 17th month old too!) and a mini zoo.  The pool and mini zoo are extra charges but only small.  The reviews on here are good, so hoping for a great time!!
