I have a few boxes in the garage with the cooking stuff, etc I just pick them up and I'm ready to go.  I sort my stuff out at the beginning of the season and make sure it's all put away properly after every trip, that way I'm sure not to forget anything.  I like the idea of the laminated list though, might do that before I pack away at the end ready for next year.

I usually pack the car the night before we go to make the travelling day less stressful!!

The bit I detest is packing up to go home, especially if the weather's not so good!  There's nothing to look forward to ... Quinnys

Oh gosh, I must be the strange one  I love sorting all the stuff out for each particular trip & packing the car. The bit I don't like is packing up to come home

On the day we're due to leave the site, I unplug the airbed as soon as we get up - that's my way of saying that I've made a start on packing up!  Then have cuppa's & brekkie, shower & put my travelling clothes on. Over the next 4-5 hours I pack a bit at a time with lot's of tea or coffee breaks. I just hate the moment when everything else is packed & we have to take the tent down, so I delay it as long as possible

I do it the opposite way. I pack up in scruffy clothes, keep the shower bag out and shower after I've packed up. I always feel I need a shower after packing away- I'm either covered in mud if its been raining or hot and sticky if the suns out, Claire

We have recently got all our stuff in boxes in the shed and we find it very easy to just unload the shed straight into the car and visa versa on the way home. We take out the sleeping bags and blankets etc a week before we go and air them all off. That side of it we dont mind because we have made it very easy.

Both my wife and I hate the  threat of packing down wet thats our biggest bug bare and as yet we have managed to get away with it.

It has all become much easier for us since we bought spares of everything. So we don't have to wait for its last use at home before we can pack it.
A good list is also an essential-adding to it gradually each trip of course
