That looks great Carole. There is an Argos in Torquay, so I'll check that out. Thanks for the reply

Hi tinatyke.
What you need is a kitchen tent that as a mesh window to allow steam out, We had the one from Argos before our cabanon but the Argos one did us proud. The only problem you may get charged extra for its use by some greedy site proprietor's if you don't want the bother of a extra tent
a 50inch fishing brolly that you can change the pole position and a wind brake makes a very good kitchen to keep you dry. I would recommend you buy a packet of Clingons and a extra pack of guy-ropes and pegs if you go the brolly way.
But there is a ultra modern axillary tent on the Amazon
site search for tents.
Regards
Rex

Brilliant.

They were selling Golf umbrellas for 3.99 special offer on the motorway services. I bought one. We have one windbreak, but I can easily get another one today in Torquay. So, how do you fix the umbrella so I am hands free? - novice that I am!

Hi again Tinatyke
I am afraid a golf umbrella is not suitable, The fishing one is twice the size and is very strong and as an adjustable pole what can be hammered into the ground and comes with guying points and some of the better one a flat bottom and pegging points, This option will cost more than the Argos kitchen tent. but is more adaptable and a lot easier to set up.
Rex.

Outdoor Revolution Outhouse? Cheap, packs smaller than you`ll belive and half of UKCS (that have kitchen tents) seem to have one.

Thanks for all replies. I do like the sound of the Umbrella and will have to look into that for next time. I appreciate the advice.

We'll just have to use the golfing umbrella for walking to the nearby pub then

I have the outhouse too, its pretty good piece of kit.

Certainly more than capable of keeping you and you equipment dry while cooking.

I used the Proaction Argos tent for the first time this last week and it was brilliant, highly recommended.
