there are 5 adults and 12 children and we are all camping together in cromer.  where we are staying there is no clubhouse or anything like that (can't stand sites like that).  there isn't a prom to walk along and basically not much to do apart from go to the beach and play around the tent.

so, because the weather isn't looking so good, what else do you suggest?  long walks is fine but other than that if it's rainy??  at least 3 of the adults have never been camping before and i really want them to realise how great it can be, but a wet weather trip isn't likely to get them off on the right foot is it? 

any suggestions?  i've got some board games etc but although i have a montana 12 even that might not be big enough to fit us all in on rainy evenings!!

Well it sounds like you may be okay. But if you do have rain, how about cramming into the Monty 12 for some old fashioned party games? Charades, or the one where you have to pass an orange round under your chin? It may be worth looking for a party games compendium of some kind.

 And with a group of children glowsticks are always a winner. When camping with my niece and nephew we always have to have a "glowsticks" party one night. This consists of playing dance music on our little portable player, having cleared enough space for dancing, then we make ourselves gorgeous with festoons of glowsticks. The kids then work out their choreography and put on a "show". Before we go to bed we then make the glow sticks into chains and hang then round the tent - its like sleeping in a Christmas tree!

I agree entirely.  We've spent many an hour playing monopoly when the weather's bad. Playing cards is another.
