my last tent a suncamp festiva fitted into the bag no problems, now i have a vango idaho 600 and omg it takes just as long to fight with the bag as to putting the tent up, i love the tent i can put the tent up and down on my own, but the putting tent in bag is driving me insane, any tips???
Provided that you checked how it was folded when you first opened it out, then it will go back quite easily if you fold it the same way.
Unfortunately many people are so eager to see their new tent up that they don't bother checking. In that case just work out from the bag size where to fold the tent so that it ends up exactly the same width as the bag length, then fold or roll lengthways until it is the same as the bag width.

Yep, I'm a 'buy a bigger bag' fan. Saves so much bother, bad language and arguments.
I realised we needed a bigger bag after our lass and I had an argument over whose turn it was to roll up and down tent trying to get all the air out so it would fit in bag

If the answer may offend you then dont ask the question in the first place !!
I dunno. When we bought our first 'big' tent (a gelert 6 man dome) we got it 2nd hand and it came to us in 5 different bags! Fly, inners, poles, pegs & a small bag with mending kit and odds and ends.
Admittedly the bigger then tent, the more difficult it's going to be to stick any one bit in a bin bag, but there's always 2 bin bags

Lead me not into temptation - I can find the way all by myself!
thanks, i will get a bigger bag, but what baffles me is i could get my 12 berth in no problems, but come to a 6 berth its difficult, have got a big primark bag so that should do, but i am not the type to give up so going to try again later.
