I'm sure I've heard someone on the forum referring to kids bubbles as "canvas killer"!

I had no idea they caused so much damage until I read about it here.

Phew, it wasn't us then - we were pitched in the freezing cold Derbyshire Dales, wish we'd see the sun!

We were at Riverside campsite in York and the children in the tent next to us came out with bubbles. I went over and told the Mother to be careful about them, as if they hit her tent it would remove the waterproofing. The Mother didn`t realise the bubbles had that effect and stopped the kids from using them. If I see children with them, I make a point of informing the parents what damage they can do as none of them seem to know.

Hi there I have just popped over from the motorhome section, I don't have children so would probably not be using bubbles but I had no idea about this problem.

I do have an awning so will keep a watch out for them and like someone said earlier will use a bat to keep them away (the bubbles not the kids!!!)

Thanks for this information I will put a little post in general section as it seems quite important.
