We are new to all of this camping business but feel its the way forward for us as a family!! After weeks of looking for a good family tent ( with a £300 budget) we are looking at the vango vail 700. Can anyone ( with a kind heart and a few moments to spare) please tell us if this is a good decision or if you could recommend any others.
Also where is the best place to buy??? :) Cheers x

Vango are a great make, we have one!!
Try and find a place that you can walk in it and get a feel of the tent before you buy.
Not too sure where you could buy one from, we decided which tent we wanted and then searched the internet for good deals. This time of the year you should get a few!
Good Luck

Hi
We have a Vail 700 and really love it. We've just got back from 3 weeks in France and it did us proud. Have to say it's not the easiest tent to put up as it's so tall, but with 2 of you it's ok.
The canopy on the front is a great idea - nice for shade when the sun is shining, and nice to still be outdoors but sheltered from the rain!
The bedrooms are good too - the middle one is slightly bigger, and it's nice to be able to have room either side of the airbed, and nice to have full height in all 3 pods.
The living area is huge, so should it happen to rain there's plenty of room for everyone without being cramped.
That's a good price that Debbie found - we have last years' version that doesn't have a SIG, and we paid £299 then.
Hope that helps
Lesley

Excellent tent!, bought mine from Wildday, delivered within 3 days.
As LQA! need to be tall to attach the bed pods, I'm 6'2" and can reach, sky lights are a stretch though! Huge amounts of space, and fairly easy to pitch with two of you, OH is 5'4" and we had no probs.

Hi, Don't know if you have bought your tent yet, but would recommend the Vango Vail 700. We previously had a Vango Diablo 400 which was brilliant but we soon discovered not big enough. We bought our Vail through e-bay, the guy selling it had purchased it without his wifes approval and she wanted another make of tent. We did try and buy it through several web based companies all selling at around the £300 mark but were all out of stock, so got it for £305 plus postage on ebay. We went camping last weekend to try it out (will be last for the year as its getting to cold). Took us 50 minutes to put it up (a lot easier and quicker than the Diablo but a bit heavier), kids didn't help as usual.
all in all an excellent tent, which had a few admirers at the campsite. We also experienced heavy rain, with no problems.
Good luck in your tenting hunt.
