So, who was it who said Cromer was going to be okay this week?!!
We arrived on Sunday and had to put three tents up in TORRENTIAL rain. The only reason we bothered at all was because we had 15 children (yes 15) and they were all so excited, plus the forecast was that it would clear on Monday.
So, cue torrential downpours - the rain did not stop for about 10 hours, the winds were of the gale variety. My Montana 12 leaked all over the place and there were kids in soaking puddles in their beds. At 3.00 a.m. myself and two friends had to go outside and try to hold the tent down in the torrential rain and try to tighten the guy ropes further so it didn't just blow away totally.
By 11.00 a.m. Monday the rain still hadn't stopped so we packed up three tents, again in the torrential rain and drove 2.5 hours home again. All I can say is that it hasn't put me off camping because I have previously been very lucky with the weather BUT it was the trip from hell.
So, come on, admit it, who told me that Cromer was going to be okay?!!!!!

we arrived at wells-next-the-sea a few miles up coast on monday (20th). we had mainly strong winds, not much rain, until wednesday when we decided to go home before the tent blew down. We were told that it rained 10pm onwards sunday night and didn't stop til 6am monday.
I wouldn't have gone , but the campsite I was going to said they weren't flooded or anything, turned up and they were!!
