To keep my EHU of the ground i bought a brush shank changed the clips on the back of the EHU so it would fit the shank and screwed in a cup hook for the handle on top of the unit now when im setting up all ihave to do is hammer in the shank hang and clip the unit to it and unroll the cable the cup hook lets you pull out a plug without the clips unseating hope this idea is some use to anybody

Any chance of a piccy Sxis as I cant quite understand what you mean. I got my 3 way EHU off Ebay for £25 its a Sunncamp, the person I brought it off was emigrating so not needed. So there are bargains out there you just have to wait and check Ebay regularly. Dont buy the non Sunncamp ones as Ive heard somne bad feedback about those, theres another thread about that on here somewhere. Anyone know ther best way to test the trip other than the button on it. I mean a proper test like grounding the live?

a brush shank is the wooden pole the brush head is on you can buy the shanks separatley . my ehu came with clips on the back they are conduit clips and any good diy shop should have the right size if your ehu does'nt have clips on the back i would say superglue the right size of clip on the back

DOH! look a right eejit now thought a brush shank was some bit of camping gear lol. I know what the conduit clips are think I might have some in the garage. I'll have a go at making one sounds a good idea thanks for the tip . I was trying to think of a way to roll up the cable and hit on the idea of a small hose reel, what do you use?

Ive been trying to think of something for a while now but to save space i need to keep the cable flat so all ido at the moment is coil it up like rope i have a large plastic storage box that all the electrical stuff goe's in kettle etc and i coil it up on top

Trev buy the brush shank first so you can make sure you have the right size clips to give a firm hold also i took a chisel and sharpened a point on the shank to make it easier to hammer in
