Anybody been to Gillside campsite in ullswater or know of any others in the area for this weekend?

I've been searching for days and had no luck. I've even widened the search area to encompass Northumberland, North Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Norfolk!!!!!!

I guess my brand new tent is going to stay very clean this weekend! Hey Ho! Forward planning may be the answer :o)

Lakes can be a bit of a nightmare for late bookings at Bank Hols, I live here and have always struggled. Good Luck.

Thanks JKSara on there web site it says for August bank that minimum stay is 5 nights .

Hillcroft is one we've been to frequently and its just a 5 minute walk from Pooley Bridge which is at one end of Ullswater.

Not been for a couple of years, but we enjoyed it thoroughly last few times.

we're off to Park Foot which we enjoyed for the Bank Holiday last year. We also went to the Ullswater Marina again for a Bank holiday. All of them have been booked within a couple of weeks of going but not sure now whether they would be full or not.

We have just come back from Park Foot in Ullswater. Not a bad camp site to be fair. We enjoyed it.
