there was a yurt next to us in dorset and it was set up by a young woman, on her own, in no time at all.

very spacious but i would be a bit worried about being sooo close to nature at night. I have slept with the door open on my baby quechua but sometimes you just want to be zipped into a bedroom with a sig! Especially if there might be slugs about.

the preassembled yurts appear to have wooden floors! very luxurious

What fantastic tents....just wish we could afford one of each!

I know it's a girly thing to say but they look sooo pretty with the little windows!

A yurt arrived at Fisherground while we were there last week. Charlie and I were admiring it and the owner invited us to have a look in. It was huge for a tent but small for a yurt I think, all lovely and organic feeling inside with the concertina'd wooden frame and no corners, and there was a big hole in the middle of the roof so very light and airy. They pull a clear cover over the hole at night so you can probably see the stars.
I would love to spend some time in one.
