what does everyone think of the new Outwell Norfolk Lake?  We are considering buying one as our Royal Montpellier 12 leaks, (after just two weeks use) has rips in the seams and has gone mouldy despite our making sure that it is completely dry before rolling it all up!  Think its going to go back to the shop myself!

My husband likes the material the Outwell Norfolk and Bear Lake are made of as they seem to be of a higher quality and with four children we need as much space and warmth as possible.

Anyone else with any other tent they can recommend for a family of 6!

Your thoughts?

We have the Norfolk Lake and love it.

We have just returned from 3 weeks in France and it was perfect.

Windows, mesh & zips everywhere.  Cooler than nylon in hot weather, warmer in cool weather and no condensation.  Also important was no leaks, even during a good traditional French Thunder Storm.

The material has a real feel of luxury. but it does take up more room and is heavier than nylon - but that's a price well worth paying.  It is far easier to pitch than our previous frame tent.

Like most tunnel tents you can't open a door in the rain without letting some water run in, but Outwell are suposed to be bringing out a side canopy next year which should solve that problem.  Some owners already use the universal nylon one.

Great tent - well worth the extra money.
