Hi all.
Natural site like Westermill that reside in the centre of Exmoor you can not keep a secret. in the camping season you will find Dutch, French, Germans in numbers its fame as spread far and wide, as Nick will tell you this site is as near as you will get to camping in the 1960,and that includes the washrooms

but they are cleaned usually with a student from the continent, Always phone in the busy periods so they know you are coming.

PS and while you are at westermill take a look at Pool Bridge the back to nature site about 5 miles away on the road across the moor to Porlock and take a trip into doone vally, you may not find Lora or Carver but there are two more campsite there you can have a fire by the river, All four of these site can be checked out on the camp site search and are reviewed.and all have rivers to wash and play in.

France seems to be more geared-up to camping than the UK, where is is often seen as the 'cheap' holiday option (ha!), and there seems to be an absence of camping snobbery.

Camping in France is very fashionable at the moment. Could be the influenc eof eco-concerns. You only have to look at the number of Decathlon stores springing up to know the French are really into their outdoor pursuits. Any country where you can buy maggots in the Hypermarche must be serious about leisure activities. Of course a two hour lunchtime helps...they have got it sussed!

Camping in the whole of Europe is very fashionable at the moment. The weather controls out door pursuits, and as for maggots in supermarkets that's business, Or maybe they have brought out new dish , were we eat lamb on rice, Could it be they are now eating Frogs stuffed with snails served on a bed of maggots

would look similar, they are famous for their unusual cuisine

Forgot to recommend a specific site...we stayed here BAIE DE TERENEZ 29252 PLOUEZOCH last year, each pitch was set off with a small dividing hedge. It is in the Finistiere area of Brittany not far from the Roscoff ferry.
