Ummmm, now this it a tuff one!
Comfort, warmth, and good food are key elements.
I love camping in a tent; OH however would prefer an hotel.
For me camping is all fun, even when caught in thunderstorms and flooded out at Coniston water, all good clean fun.
No time constraints, just going with the flow.
As I do most of the cooking at home, its no incentive for HO to come even if I do all the camp cooking, also when camping I like to eat, for want of a better description ‘camping food’, and other novel creations, for me luxury is a ration pack lol.
I particularly have a liking to cooking on one burner and exploring new delights, nothing more rewording than finding some edible fungi and frying it up with some bacon.
So to get round all this we bought an old caravan to see if it was a good compromise, well almost, still dislikes the roughing it element, so it has to be ‘proper meals’
Then I bought an all singing and dancing foam topper, ummm, this was still not good enough, however, she did show a distinct interest in a fixed bed caravan, however my budget verses frequency of use, means I have started to go camping by my self, or just me and the kids will go, until a cheap fixed bed is found!
