I brought a Santiago this year so that I could take the kids away on my own or the odd weekend with my husband joining us. I have a 2.5 and 6 year old and it's worked out very well for that. Our other tent is too big for me to put up by myself and seems like an ordeal for just a weekend. Have found the size & layout of the Santiago perfect for us. We're thinking of taking it to France next year to stay do a multi stop holiday, say 5 days each at 3 different sites
I am thinking of getting a small utility tent to use with the Santiago like

Just to extend it a little if all 4 of us want to say spend a week in it. We'd cope without, especially with good weather but would give us that bit more flexibility. We could put the camping fridge and cooking equipment in it. The Santiago doesn't really give you any real cooking space if it's wet. Not a big deal for a weekend but if we were to take it away longer then would be nice.
