My parents had temendously bad service on two occasions from C&CC, so much so that they gave up their membership, but that's another story.  On both occasions after they wrote to complain they received an apology and a couple of free nights site vouchers as compensation. I've no idea how long the response took however.

I've had to cancel a couple of booking this year due to ill health, and they refunded my deposits, but they don't give it back, they put it in the holding account against your next booking.  Have they done that?

Also when I did write to complain about something last year it took them ages to reply, but they did eventually.

We also had to cancel break, our youngest son has cerebral palsy and was ill..whilst we didn't receive the cash back its banked in our account until next year...

I can only praise the C.&CC...they have been excellant with us offering advise about a site when we ask if we'll be ok with a wheelchair and all the wardens we have met have been brilliant checking that we were ok with the pitch and that everything for our son was in good order...

I would say pick up the phone and speak to them...they have been so helpful to us this must be an over sight on their part...

So, when you book via the C & CC you pay them, not the site, with payments being held in an account and refunded to that account if you don't stay for the booked duration? Is that how it works?

I've never been refunded for any portion of a stay where we have had to leave early, and thought it was necessary to hold insurance cover for cancellation etc. Is cancellation cover / early departure included, in C & CC bookings?

They surely should have shown courtesy of response to your communications though, otherwise the term 'membership' rings a bit hollow.....
