i dont think thoses tarp type last very long no matter where you get them from.when  i got my Cabanon there were 2 thick smooth plastic one with it about 3 meters by 3 meters.Got to say even through use of 4 years there is only the odd small hole.

Hi
It is difficult to find a good ground sheet today. heavy duty tarps that can cost £40 plus are very strong but will puncture easy between the weave, shop bought PVC type will tear easier than a tarp but will not puncture quite so easy.
What I am going to try next, are the flexiliners from pondkeeper.co.uk these pond liners are made from a tight woven low density polythene 100% waterproof and tear resistant, but I recon the ultimate ground sheet would be one made from the 1mm Butyl pond liner material but I think it would be heavy and is very expensive one 4x5M for my tent would cost over £200 were the flexiliner will cost £32 inc vat and postage.
But I will not know how good they are until next spring
as the damage our three ground sheets sustained at Graffham as stopped us going for our last trip
Good luck with your search but the answer is to take along a lawn rake with all your other gear to rake your pitch before erecting the tent
Regards
Rex

Hi

I looked at the tarpaulin covers on ebay and didn't think that they would last long.  I got a heavier duty groundsheet from Yeomans for £21.99 i think.  We pitched on a lovely level site with no puddles but it held up to 2 dogs and our 4 kids and all their new friends from the site who came to visit us!!

Thanks for the tip about flexiliner Rex.

I want to devise a riser GS for my Vaude Opera tent as it is a little too breezy due to the lack of mudflaps. I have located some Wurmi pegs designed to hold the edges of a GS upright, so I reckon I will have a fairly durable arrangement if I invest in flexiliner rather than the usual PVC or woven PE tarps.

B&Q do cheap thin ones, £2.99 for a big one. They fold down to an A4 paper pad size which is a bonus.

They won't last long, but at that price they're practicaly disposable.

I Foggers n Dick
Well I have tried a few over the last few years and I realy thought the 240GSM tarp would be the answer to strenth but I was wrong again the flint at Graffham made mincemeat out of it between the weave, so it will now let in the wet.
I will try out the flexiliner the next time we go.and if that fails it will have to be the french Butyln liner and no wine for a while.
If you do go this year let me know how you get on with the flexiliner,It sounds like it will do the job.
Regards
Rex.
