Hi,we have only been camping 3 times without an ehu.

We would like to try ehu but not sure what we need to purchase for that?

Also does people use a tv in a tent and if so how do you get a signal??? would a freeview box help for signal??

Has anyone done this?

Try one of these for EHU.  http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/redirect.asp?redir=http://www.towsure.com/product/533-Awning/Tent_Mains_Kit_-_3_Outlet Don't even think about ebay if you are not sure what you need because some of them could be unsafe.

For TV the best idea in my opinion is to go satellite and for £50 you could do worse than http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=217921&doy=7m10  Try this link for info on satellite http://www.satelliteforcaravans.co.uk/

Dont be put off by thinking it will be difficult to set up. I did at first but now I can set it up in about 5 minutes by using a satellite finder from Lidl at £3.99. I have mounted the dish on an old photographic tripod and hold it down with 3 tent pegs.

Good luck with your camping

We were camping this weekend and on the Saturday a young couple arrived to setup camp. They were dropped off by the lads mother and everything was loaded in the boot of the car. One tent, 2 self inflating mats, 2 sleeping bags, a small BBQ and an EHU. And from the front seat came a 42 inch tv. The lad said he could not miss Match of the Day.
