I have 2 vango sleeping bags and one has a tear in the stitching on the outside. Not an easy place to get one. Anyway, so I emailed Vango sometime in October and it took a week before I got a reply and was told to take it back to the store where I bought it. I just recently found my reciept and don't even know if it's too late.
Wasn't really happy with that response so I don't think their care is all that great.
I disagre with this comment, if an item is faulty, then it is the responsability of the retailer who sold it to you to either refund or replace a full product, everyone else who has had help from vango is generally for spares they they may well have around the office and are a quick thing to send.
Vango are correct in sending you away as it is the retailer who has your money, or a full replacement product for you.
But if the retailer is the one to deal with about the faulty sleeping bags then surely the same applies to faulty tents??? After all it is the retailer who has your money when you buy a tent also.
absoulutly, it has always been that the person you paid for the goods has the responsibilty to solve any faulty issues you have [trade description act], as they have your money and gurantee. NOT the manufacturer.
Having said that as above if vango have a spare pole, or set of tent repair kits, or those little things around the office to replace broken poles or gulines, then of course they are proberbly going to help and not send you away.
When it comes to involving a full replacement product or refund, now that is completley down to the retailer, and all manufactures work like this by sending you that direction. as they do not have your money.
as for the sleeping bags, yes you have to got to go toretailer, they have to solve the issue with no expense to yourself, i.e post them back and get reimbursed for it
