Hi again.
I know how you feel and so would I,I still think they took you for a ride, but without dates you can not prove it, if they say their peak season is until the end of September
Then it still puts it on us campers to find out.
So until national government lay down a minimum site size for camping and caravan sites pitches, I am afraid it is down to us to find out the rules, prices and pitch size limits of the sites we intend to visit. If we all do this these site will soon change their policy, if people stop using them, the problem is not all campers visit these allowed pages, to find out what a small percentage of unscrupulous greedy site owner are doing. But more and more are joining us and in the end I am sure we all can stop this profiteering at the expense of families that can ill afford it.
Regards
Rex

I have just been on later on their website and it states quite clearly
"At Far Peak Campsite there is
a minimum booking period of 3 nights for Bank Holiday weekends and 2 nights for weekends
in July and August.

Large Tents and Awnings, Gazebos and extra Vehicles will be treated as an extra pitch during peak times."

I don't advocate their attitude or charging by any means, but it does highlight the need to research before you book

Think I know which lake district site you mean as we priced the suspected same one instantly dismissed it as money grabbing and bit too commercial for us.  Our tent is 7x4 and not had any probs so far.
