hi mike,,    We use solar garden lights round our tent, lights up at night & grt for kids,  bought them from netto 2.50 each,,

   I got one of them solar panels 9.00 from car boot to charge my car batt up,,  her in doors watches coro / eastenders,, And I dont flaten batt..

Best is them lights thuo,,  Grt at night & carry to loo.. When your at other end of field....

we are all for solar power, we have a solar panel on our roof (house) for hot water which is great in the summer but poor in the winter when we need it most.

As for the tent we have 2 solar powered lanterns which are okay but the light is not great, would like to find more environmentally friendly items for the tent and the home,

We have 2 15w solar panels coupled to a 110ah battery and they will keep us going almost indefinitely.

Battery runs lights, phone chargers, pumps etc. and the tv and sat receiver through an inverter.

OH is a telly addict and even with her heavy use (10-12 hrs per day) we have never run out of power.

we have a solar panel; on the roof of the shed on our allotment, all it does is keep the 12v battery charged up and that in turn is connected to a strip light for when we are potting late at night (this brings a new meaning to lunar planting lol)
