You only really know if you have a good tent when the weather turns nasty...

Best of luck with it, though.

Make sure you get some waterproof sleeping bags and wellies.

A large downpour of rain and and a bit of wind could see you all pee wet through and running for the car for cover.

Don't try parking your Lambretta in one of the bedrooms.

Oh yeah, sprag your sleeping bags down too, you never know.

i have a pro action tent and have used it for the past 3 years. weekends and week holidays, never had any trouble untill last july in devon in a monsoon. upgrading this year tho it has seen better days now. £160 for 3 years camping cant be bad, we more than had our moneys worth out of it. time to buy something that will last now as we are truly addicted to camping in all weathers now.

Weird that he tent arrived the same day you said you bought it on ebay ?

Sure you are not the seller trying to get some free advertising ?

Still cannot find any pro action tent that looks like it ?

As for 'sl*gging off your choice ' (if you are a genuine buyer ) You came and asked for advice ,you were given advice by people who have seen others buy crap and have their holiday spoiled and put them off camping ect( remeber if  holiday is ruined it not just the money you paid for the tent ,its the money for the pitch ,wasted prescious holiday time  ect ) ! If you were advised against it ,it was because people had your best interests at heart and didnt want this to happen to you !

I like the look of some of the argos tents but I don't think I've seen that one before.  Its either an old model or perhaps bones96 put the wrong link in his original posting?

If you're campng for the first time & you're not sure if you're going to like it, it makes sense not to spend too much money.  When I started I preferred to buy a decent secondhand tent which came with lots of well used equipment and over the past two years we've gradually been replacing the old stuff with new as and when we've seen a bargain.

So, bones96, enjoy your camping and I hope the tent works for you,

Teresa
