we use two of the same ones as " brummiegit" as they already have an internal switch ,we run a piece of string from the front of the bedroom pod central hanging toggle through the central light hanging thing in the montana , to the top of the front window curtain toggle. the cables to the lights then fasten to the string with plastic garden ties, this stops cables getting in the way and keeps the lights high up .

the string stays fastened to the tent when took down so saves faffing around every time.

We use these scattered about the roof/side of the tent.

They also come in a set of three.

They are a bit pricey, but I have bought the same design but battery operated in a pack of 3 for £3. They take 3 x AAA batteries, and push on and off. They have a sticky pad on the back, so I suppose you could stick them onto something inside the tent, but we just carry them and place them where needed. As you said, very bright, and great for the kids, they can have one each!

I noticed in the new Outwell catalogue that they have some specific electric camping lights that looked interesting, including one that incorporates a halogen heater.  I don't own any of them (yet!) but thought that they looked good.
