I've been looking at camping just before easter weekend and decided against a really cheap site after reading reviews.  Been looking again and found a cracking site in the C & CC book.  Go onto the website, it's been shut and they've re-opened a new site just up the road, ok then!

The new site isn't open till may.

I'm thinking my early season camping trip is lookign decidedly on the rocks....

Be positive.

There are lots of lovely sites out there.

Keep looking and something will appear that will seem just right for you.

We are all in the same boat really .........desperate to camp but waiting for the weather to become more stable.

Yes there are the hardy campers out there and I admire them 100%. I guess I like to bask in the sun and warmth , sipping a wine, reading my book and lazing out. Nothing could be more perfect.

I am sure I only need to try it the once and I'll be hooked. I did used to camp in the Lakes in October (late) so can't be that bad! lol

I don't know why they did not indicate that in the Big book as its been planned for quite a while as I'm sure there was some thing about it in C.C.C. magazine.Barns Ness was a great wee site.
