halogen heater from Wilkinsons £10 we leave it on all night it switches off if it falls over, no condensation problems just a warm tent!
Does this halogen heater give out enough heat? Also, what wattage is it, as I am keenly reading this post for tips - never had EHU before, but will need it for our longer camping trip in our Trailer Tent this spring. Thanks

Hello all.
We use a fan heater. If it is really cold we would leave it on all night with a medium thermostat setting. My only experience of a halogen heater is that you would need to dance around in front of it to get any real heat out of it. Maybe thats a bit harsh but I have only ever seen one in use.
we have a fan heater and do have condensation problems ( damp under matresses after 2 nights ) but I'm not sure if this is attributable to the fan heater...( which we don't usually leave on all night anyway ).
we have also used a halogen heater which gives the impression of being warmer and cosier because of the glow, but if you leave it on all night the light is disturbing.
Does anyone know of a quiet fan heater? - the only thing with ours is that it is annoying esp. if we do leave it on all night on thermostat control as it wakes me up everytime it switches itself on....
We use an 800watt halogen heater with an automatic trip switch if it falls over. Couldn't have managed without it last year on the colder nights camping with our baby.
No condensation problems and you can pick them up for around a tenner including postage on ebay!
We have a halogen but as has been said by a couple of people already it didn't warm us unless we were directly (and I mean a couple of foot!) in front of it.
We bought a fan heater from homebase last year for about 10 pounds and did leave it on overnight at Easter a couple of times. We do seem to get a bit of condensation with or without the heater so don't think it makes that much difference. I had assumed it was the moisture from four of us breathing more than the temperature?

Was thinking of using a fan heater and just wondered if anyone could recommend it, wasn,t sure if you wake up in the morning with condensation raining down on you.
