Good for you!!!  I booked our first one last night and I did the same thing - told the website (everyone else was in bed!)!  We're off in May too and I had trouble sleeping last night 'cos I was too excited and was busy writing lists in my head as to what we needed...can't remember any of the brill idea's I had at 3am tho'!  I'm sure the planning is half the fun - and we'll still get there and realise we've forgotten something!

Ooh, well done both of you. I am on verge of booking our breakaway at the seaside in our Trailer Tent. First time we have used it, so bit nervous, but excited. Husband is not a camper, but am hoping to convert him with the relative comfort of sleeping off the ground in the TT. I keep telling how much money we will save by camping instead of staying in a hired static on the same site.

Happy camping all!

Oooooooooh,  I love the excitement of choosing a camping hol. and booking it ...and totally with you scaryamma, on the list-front. The problem is I have too many lists, I have a main list of equipment and then lists of what needs to be replaced or mended and lists of what the kids want to take and what I think we'll need and it just goes on.....    Billerticaylady, may warm weather reign, but don't be disheartened by wet and stormy clime as we've still enjoyed camping hols in wellies (though flip-flops and suncream are preferential of course).

I've just booked my 1st camping holiday for this year, I'm taking a friend who wants to go & my house mate who isn't keen on camping but got them to go by explaining how cheap it is to go camping & this is the only way he'll get a holiday.

I thought it was just me who thinks about camping all through the winter months. I haven't booked anywhere yet, but I'm feeding off your excitement. Keep going into the garage to check on the equipment, yep it's still there. I heard on the news that the weather is changing in this country, torrential rain then very hot summers. I'ts probably the wrong attitude to have but if the global warming means more camping weather, then I'm not really bothered.
