Hi all. I bought an Outwell Hartford xl mid-season last year. It saw 3 outings to the end of the season (warm weather camper lol)

I'm starting to prepare the gear again ready for the next outing in March.

The question is do I really need to weatherproof the tent, or will it be ok?

Alan, I have had my tent now for 3 years and not had to water proof

I suppose its upto you ..does it need it?

Is it leaking ? I guess you will have to get the first trip in th erain over with before you can answer or get the hose pipe on the tent...lol

i think its your choice..

only weather proof canvas and then its every tens years or when a repair has been made even then not always.

I agree with Wildie, I used to occasionally reproof my cotton  and canvas tents but have never had to reproof a synthetic tent.
