Our old cooker has finally given up on us (after around 25 years!) and we need to replace. We need two burners, grill and built in windshield. Which do you recommend? I have seen the Coleman ones, and like the look of them, but are they any good?
Hi Pip
My coleman 424 is fantastic but it doesn't have a grill. For toast, we use one of those wire mesh things you use on top of the hob, which works well.

i have just bought a 'camping chef' two burner cooker with grill and wind shield form www.worldoftents.co.uk havent tried it but it seems very substantial and sturdy and the postage for any amount of goods is only £3.95 am very impressed. oh it takes calor gas too.
as just the two of us most of the time, we've got a calor lagon 2 ring burner with a built in windshield and a separate gas ring thingy (the ones that run on canister gas) so I can get the water boiling while I'm doing the fry-up and beans at breakfast time!
We only started camping last year and we went for the Coleman after reading a lot of stuff on here.
It was absolutely the right decision, it worked perfectly.
If you do buy one have a practice run in the garden before you go away, it is slightly more effort than gas, but well worth the effort.
Much cheaper to run than gas too, and you don't have to lug the huge gas bottle around with you. I found a web site that detailed how to rebuild a Coleman too, which looked about 25 years old, they seem to have quite a following.
