I'm such a Victor Meldrew I don't even like kids playing footy unless they ARE in a specified play area! It's torture for my poor dogs, tied up outside and not allowed to join in.

Whilst all dogs should be tied up on site I think some of the little angels ( not ) should be tied up too lol

Tie up the kids and let the dogs run free?

No dogs running free on sites annoy me more than some kids, esp after daughter had 40 stitches in face after a oh so friendly dog 3 pitches down wanted her ice cream off her, now any dog that comes near her, after its owners ignore my request to put it on a leash , gets kicked all the way back to its pitch .

in amongst the other every day noises on an average caravan and camping site. After dinner around 2000hrs a lot of the noise subsides but life as still to go on. this is the time people start to relax and really enjoy the things they come camping for and one of those enjoyments is music be it the playing a guitar listening to a radio or CD player or just watching TV. I think all who have had normal children and now got them will agree that they will go to sleep with music and TV noise in the back ground, it is only when we decide to retire that chit chat and soft music keep you awake my OH uses ear plugs and they work.
as most people have said if you need to listen to loud music or you need to turn it up to here it
use head phones. and be prepared to call it a night at 2300 hrs.
For our members who do not like to here all the normal sounds the only answer is the highland of Scotland or Dartmoor were you can be alone with the call of the birds sheep cattle, and the odd little grass hopper clicking away outside your bivvy.
No these days when the sites get full I think we have to accept all these noises, as for me I just turn them off

I agree with Rex ( never thought I would type that Rex ) We have never made an allowance for the noise level when any of our children have been sleeping or going to bed , they have always went to sleep with normal noises, hoover going , tv on , washing machine etc etc etc and they will sleep through anything on site or at home. On the other hand my sisters children are used to silence at nap or bedtime and are a nightmare when they stop over. The tv downstairs keeps them awake as my Sis turns it off at home till they go off lol.

you see so many 'wrapped up in cotton wool' kids on site its scary, surely we have all heard the cry from parents... ' dont touch that its covered in mud, get out that puddle' etc For Gods sake they are holiday !!!
